An Egyptian Cobra (Naja haje) scribe is startled while working in the temple, and flares his hood at the interruption.
A large drawing I have been working on for some time. It has taken me months to finish, mostly because I was afraid of messing up the inking by coloring it. I finally got brave enough to take the plunge and finish it properly. Micron penwork with Copic and Prismacolor marker for the color. Highlights added with opaque white pen. Probably a good 20 hours worth of work, spread out over months. Prints of this work are available directly through me, as well as virtual prints on SecondLife. Contact me directly for more info! I recently made my own serpent species...
and the job just seems to fit them.
It must be the fact serpents neither sit nor stand.
Cant get sore feet...nor sore butts!.

I also really like the subtle lighting you have with that beam of sunlight hitting the two pillars and providing the highlight for his scales. Just... WOW. I am impressed.
