My first finished HDR image!

The style for this shot was heavily inspired by the incredible HDR imagery by . His photos blow my mind, and one day I'd love to improve my skill to half of his.

About the image- This old truck sits in a yard next to my friend's warehouse in Akron, Colorado. While working on loading up some shelving I re-noticed this truck. The sun was bright, the weather was warm, and I saw the amazing textures for the first time. The weathered fence, the truck, the old trailer, the rust, the pebbles, the weeds... And the small tree growing out of the engine compartment. I borrowed a plastic shelving unit to use as a tripod, and was able to crank off a set of bracketed images.

The image is surprisingly clean, though there is some ghosting in the weeds as the wind was blowing them around even though I machine-gunned the exposures. For my first real HDR, though, I'm very pleased. The color and texture were what I had hoped for!
