A lounging Blacktip Reef (Carcharhius melanopterus) enjoying a lazy summer day aboard a boat. This was inspired by a fishing trip myself, my sister and my uncle all went on about this time last year. It's one of my older works, but one of my favorites.

hrmmm... i catch those all the time down at the coast, thing thats scary... im in waist deep water on the 3rd sand bar out from the bank and i catch those, stings rays and alot of shit.... no fun when eels try to wrap around ur leg :D (Big Grin)

I can't beleve only one other person has commented on this...It a very nice pic,and the shark really does look bored out of its skull...Would have looks nice with a fishing pole next to them to,but its your pic...Are you ever going to try to color it?

Sweet pic, pose is awesome and great choice for shark species, he looks bored yet relaxed, you just wanna sit beside him and try and cheer him up! xD right before you get munch or, get a new buddy! =P

Thanks. :> It's so hard getting expressions into sharks- they don't really lend themselves well to it. I had based the pic on lounging on a boat during a fishing trip with my adopted brother and my uncle, as I spent the majority of the day happily doing just what you see here- laying on the bow bench with my hand in the water. It was great. :>

You don't seem to have done much 'shark-work' of late, is that something you've moved a bit away from? Some of those pics are very good and it would be a little sad if you weren't going to do more at some stage.
