Greetings All!
Commission Status:
Several commissions have been completed and posted! Commissions for sarathesavannahcat of FA and

as well as an off-site trade piece are completed and posted! The trade piece, "Mantis Warrior" is one of the oldest in my to-do stack. I started it some 6 months ago, and just got it completed recently. Sara's Breakout Badge and the full body badge for BlazeSpirit were both Berkeley Colony donation pieces. Thanks again for the donations, guys!
Next on the list is SkyJay of FA's digitally tinted sketch piece. I got some character sketches posted for his approval so I can get started on that one ASAP. I also have works lined up for Veridian (another long overdue piece, thanks for being so patient, bro!) and Aztec Jaguaress still has a piece or two coming. I also have a LONG overdue contest piece that I want to get finished! I feel awful for having left something for so long. I'm going to leave the recipient a surprise until it's posted. :>
Art and Project Update:
So my original plan was to use the first week of my new self-employment to get "The Lab" cleaned up and reorganized so I could jump right into doing 2D and 3D works, but things never go as planned. In the process of trying to clean up The Lab, we decided to clean out and redo the guest room closet so I could use if for fur/costume/sewing supply storage. That project took longer than expected, and lead into wanting to get the basement cleaned out. We started work on that, hoping to turn a large portion of the basement into usable workspace for larger casting projects and airbrushing of costumes. This is a MASSIVE undertaking, as we have many, many, many years of boxed up junk to go through. A lot of the memories I found were good, others notsomuch, and I even found a few things I thought gone forever. The project is still underway, but I'm hoping we can have most of it completed by the end of next weekend.
My husband, being the awesome man that he is, surprised me for our anniversary with a few new "toys" for the computer. The main one being a Wacom Cintiq tablet! 0.o He also got me a calibrator for my monitor, so that I can hopefully make better quality prints that are closer to the original piece. I wanted to hold off on scanning the finished commissions I had until I got the monitors calibrated, and I wanted to get the Cintiq working before I calibrated everything. Of course, nothing can go as planned, and what started out as adding a tablet soon turned into a video card upgrade that busted my motherboard and now I have pretty much a new computer. Replaced the video card, mother board, processor, RAM and power supply. Only thing I kept was the case, harddrives and my DVD-RW. Not that an upgrade wasn't appreciated, but my computer was actually running quite well for it's age. Still, ended up with a faster, sleeker machine, plus new toys.
Here's hoping all that trouble will lead to new digital works very soon!
